Avijit Das
Avijit Das is a spirited artist who believes in Indian classical dance as not only a medium showcasing the rich tradition but also a naturalistic channel of expression that is innate to all cultures. Like a glimpse in the mirror, Avijit’s firebrand style of work identifies teaching as well as performance aims to encourage self-identity in the viewers and students.
Avijit has performed all over in India, USA, Mexico, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Bhutan that includes renowned dance festivals such as The Battery dance festival, Drive East Dance festival, Erasing Borders dance Festival etc. His authentic artistic work received several laurels and appreciations from a diverse audience.
SOTHEBY’S studio, London, showcased three of his dance pictures as an Indian Classical dancer in an exhibition called “INSPIRED BY INDIA”.
He is a grade one artist in an Indian television channel “Doordarshan”.
